A Little Bit About Me
I was born in New Port Richey, Florida and moved to Nashville at the age of one. I have an older brother, named Patrick, who still lives in Nashville and is an estimator for a construction company. My parents have been happily married for 30 years and are the most amazing people and role models in the world. Most of my free time is spent with my amazing fiance, Chelsea, who works at Vanderbilt as a lab technician.
I attended St. Henry School from kindergarten (which I attended twice) all the way thru 8th grade. At St. Henry I participated in basketball, soccer, cross country, and played baseball in the summer. After St. Henry, I went on to Father Ryan where I continued to run cross country and began running track as well. I had many influential teachers both at St. Henry and Father Ryan that made me want to be a teacher. Their passion and enthusiasm really drove me to follow in their footsteps. After a great four years at Father Ryan I decided to go to Middle Tennessee State University where I majored in Elementary Education and taking over 24 credit hours in Math and Science.
Over the last year, I have been subbing for multiple schools in the area including St. Ann. Over the summer of 2010 I went to Maine for two months to a summer camp and helped coach baseball. It was a great experience and it solidified the fact that I wanted to teach. Four months before starting at St. Ann I was a basketball coach for Franklin Christian Academy's middle school team and the assistant coach for the high school.
I am very excited to begin my first full year at St. Ann. The faculty and students are hands down the best I have seen in the many schools I have subbed for and visited. My love for Math and children can truly be expressed here and I look forward to making an impact on these young minds.
